Tourism

　Rumoi Subprefecture owns a park: the Shokanbetsu-Teuri-Yagishiri Quasi-national Park in the south and central part of the district. A seacoast of 178 km extending north and south is referred to as the “Nihonkai (Sea of Japan) Ororon Line”, attracting many tourists particularly in the seaside season.

Annual Events

　All through the year, mainly in the summer sightseeing season, a variety of events and festivals take place with individual areas boasting their own specialties.

観　　光

　留萌管内には、南部・中部に「暑寒別天売焼尻国定公園」があり、南北１７８キロに及ぶ海岸線は、「日本海オロロンライン」の愛称で呼ばれ、海水浴シーズンを中心に多くの観光客が訪れています。

イベント

　夏の観光シーズンを中心に、各地の特産品を活かしたイベントが多数開催されています。
